Shelley is an Assistant Solicitor with over 12 years’ experience in dealing with all aspects of criminal law. Shelley also has a mental health law and prison law background.
Shelley represents clients at Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts and works alongside Counsel in all types of Crown Court cases including murder, firearms offences, fraud, sexual offences and large scale drug and organised crime offences. In the Magistrates’ Court, Shelley represents clients under Legal Aid for the more serious offences and on a private basis for road traffic and lower level offences.
Having a background in mental health law, Shelley has a level of understanding above other criminal law practitioners when it comes to those clients suffering with mental health conditions and often manages cases where expert evidence is required, such as Psychiatric opinion or Intermediary reports.
Shelley takes a hands on approach to her cases and works closely with clients to achieve the best possible outcome in their case.
